Most of the bedrooms are en suite and are all tastefully furnished.

On the lower ground floor there is 1 superking double bedroom with ensuite bath with shower, 1 king size double with en-suite walk-in shower,  1 twin bedroom with en-suite walk-in shower (these twin beds can be made into a double if required) and 2 further twin bedrooms that share a family bathroom with shower.

2 baby cots and 2 high chairs are available and there is a stairgate fitted.

Upstairs on the ground floor there is an additional double bedroom with super king bed, en-suite bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower; a large living room with satellite t.v., dvd,  stereo system and doors leading out onto a large front terrace with spectacular views over the valley, hallway, w.c., dining room, fully equipped modern kitchen with 2 electric ovens, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge plus a utility room with washing machine, dryer, large freezer and 2 further large fridges.

Doors from the kitchen lead out onto a large shaded terrace with a built in barbeque and a table that comfortably seats 10/12. There are steps leading from this terrace down to the garden and pool.  

There are an additional two rooms up on the 1st floor of the turret which we retain for ourselves and are therefore locked. A wall safe is available.

There is a telephone in the hallway which is available for both local and international calls, the costs of which will be deducted from your deposit at the end of your let as per an itemised France Telecom bill.

There is a wireless connection to the internet via Orange but this service is not guaranteed due to the vagaries of France Telecom although we find it very reliable.  The mobile phone reception is poor but available in certain areas of the house although it is possible to connect your mobile phone to the house wi-fi.

There is central heating on the ground floor and all bedrooms on the lower ground floor have electric radiators. Blankets and duvets are available. There are electric fans in the bedrooms for the summer months.

The property is fully geared up for small children. Stairgates and terrace gates have been fitted so if you wish, the children can be completely contained within the house and 2 terraces without fear of them wandering off. The swimming pool measures 6m x 12m and has large graduated steps and a diving board. A pool alarm is fitted.  There is a tiled shaded pool house with sofa seating at the shallow end of the pool.   The garden is surrounded by 12 acres of woodland, mostly cork trees, and there is a lawn with flowering shrubs leading from the house down to the swimming pool. 

Additional Notes

  • Like all other properties in the area we are not on mains water and rely on our own private supply for all water for the house. We have 2 large tanks which hold approximately 33,000 litres each - one for the house supply and one for the garden and pool supply. During July and August it can be very dry and on occasions not as much water as usual is pumped up daily to fill the tanks. In this event we will arrange to have water delivered.
  • Please note that we are in the country and therefore subject to increased insect life such as mosquitoes and horseflies during July and August when it is very hot.
  • We regret that under no circumstances are pets allowed on the property.
  • We do not permit any parties or events to take place at the property during a tenants stay unless with prior written permission from the owner.
  • Our local agents are on hand to help with any enquiries you may have and they will pop in shortly after your arrival to show you what's what. They can arrange a host of services such as babysitting, cleaning during your rental, etc.
  • Bed linen, bath towels and swimming towels are provided together with the cost of 8 hours cleaning upon your departure. Additional cleaning will be charged if necessary depending on the state the house is left in. 
  • We provide a welcome pack upon your arrival which includes tea, coffee, milk, water, bread, ham, cheese, beer and wine.  There is usually a good supply of basic condiments etc.
  • The house is not available from the end of October to the beginning of April but enquiries for this time can always be discussed with the owner.
